Nicole was born in Big Rapids Michigan. She graduated in 1991 from Evart High School and attended Ferris State University in Big Rapids for her undergraduate studies. In 1997, she graduated from the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her first three years after graudation was spent working at a mixed animal practice in North Branch Michigan. In 2000, she purchased a mixed animal practice in Mayville, which had not been operational since the previous owner, Dr. Robert Drysdale had passed. She completely remodeled the building and built a thriving mixed animal practice. She is a current member of the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA)
Nicole has been married to her husband Todd for 19 years. They currently share their home with one dog, four outdoor cats, one pet steer and one goat.
In her spare time, Nicole enjoys running and is on a quest to run a half marathon in all 50 states.
