Our mixed animal hospital was established in 2000. In 2020 we transitioned to small animal services only. We provide full service care to dogs, cats, rabbits and small rodents. We have the latest in technology providing digital x-ray services, ultrasound, dental radiographs, dental scaling, dental extractions, in-house blood testing, gas anesthesia, and laser surgery. We perform OFA and PennHIP orthopedic radiographs. We have cold laser technology, and use regenerative medicine practices of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). We also provide digital interstate health certificates.

NICOLE WERNETTE

Veterinarian

Nicole was born in Big Rapids Michigan. She graduated in 1991 from Evart High School and attended Ferris State University in Big Rapids for her undergraduate studies. In 1997, she graduated from the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her first three years after graduation was spent working at a mixed animal practice in North Branch Michigan. In 2000, she purchased her own clinic in Mayville where she built a thriving mixed animal practice.

Nicole has been married to her husband Todd since 1994. They currently share their home with two dogs, Maynard, and Harley Davidson, and Klaus the cat.

In her spare time, Nicole enjoys running and is on a quest to run a half marathon in all 50 states.

CHRISTINA FERRILL

Practice Manager/Receptionist/Assistant

Christina has been working at the Mayville Veterinary Clinic since 2001. She graduated from Michigan State University in 1999 with a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology.

She married William in 2007 and they have three children, Jillian, Ethan, and Brayden. They reside in Goodrich Michigan and share their home with two dogs, Quincy and Piper. Christina is very active in her children’s after school sports.

TODD WERNETTE

Todd attended Lansing Community College for auto mechanic training. He married Dr. Nicole in 1994. He worked as a tractor mechanic from 1997 until 2018. He then wanted to be semi-retired. He works part time at the office providing maintenance, lawn care, snow removal, cleaning, and assisting where needed.
